Yoooo happy Sunday!
Thought I would share this yummy smoothie with you guys that I had after one of my runs this past week. It was delicious and super easy to put together 🙂 PLUS it includes ground flaxseed which has a ton of benefits. Ground flaxseed is high in fiber, omega-3, and antioxidants. It gives you healthy skin and hair (I mean who wouldn’t want that?!) while also aiding in weight loss, digestive health, lower cholesterol and cancer prevention. Lastly, it’s gluten free. Which is obviously the cherry on top!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 cup of strawberries (I used frozen)
- 3/4 cup of mango (once again, I used frozen)
- 2 TBSP of ground flaxseed
- 1 scoop of protein powder. (I am IN LOVE with Sun Warrior Protein. I used Warrior Force vanilla in this recipe, but chocolate would taste just as good)
- 1-1 1/2 cups of unsweetened vanilla almond milk
*Feel free to also add ice cubes if you feel it needs a little more thickness or if you used fresh fruit instead of frozen*
I have discovered that I like putting all the frozen ingredients in first, putting the remaining ingredient in next and then finishing with pouring liquid ingredients on top. I think this works well with the blender I use.
Andddd viola! You have a yummy post workout, protein packed smoothie to refuel your muscles 🙂
Earlier today, I decided to deck out the mirrors in my room with bible verses. If you’re anything like me, you’re looking in the mirror all the time. Mirrors are awesome, but sometimes our minds allow us to reflect the bad things we see instead of the good things. To combat those negative thoughts, we must fight back with scripture and replace those thoughts with Truth.
Song of Solomon 4:7, Proverbs 31:30, Romans 14:17, Isaiah 40:29, Pslam 37:5, Pslam 139:14, and Psalm 55:22 were the verses I used. However there are so many more good ones to choose from. I encourage you to search for your favorites and post them in frequently visited places around your house!
Thought I would also share the outfit I wore to church today 🙂
Cardigan – Papaya (not sure if Indiana has one?! I got it in LA)
Gold Anchor/Heart Necklace- Carmal Consignment
If you can’t tell, I’m a huge resail/consignment store shopper. Give it a try, it’s the bomb.com
To complete the look, I decided to go with a good ol’ top knot or top bun inspired by the fact I can’t remember the last time I washed my hair.
I hope everyone had an awesome Sunday. Mine was filled with church, lovely people, meetings, and work. All of which I am totally okay with. I also got a new client today!
Random side note: I am thinking and praying about beginning online personal training. Exciting things to come in the future! Xx
