So let’s be honest. It’s been a minute since I’ve written a blog. The last couple of months have been quite busy. In an effort to catch y’all up I’ll give you the run down of what’s been going on in this crazy, but blessed life of mine.
OH and get this: You can now follow my blog on Bloglovin
-Went on a cross country road trip (more on that tomorrow- yeah, TWO blog posts in a row are coming atchaaaa!)
-I continued my nomadic lifestyle and lived out of a suitcase once I got back to Indiana because I had to return to work, but had not place to live! Still had another week and a half or so till I could move into the campus house (shout out to those who let me crash on their couches – I love you all)
-Celebrated my beautiful friend who’s getting married this October at her shower and bachelorette party. So blessed to be a part of her big day!
-Got a few new clients and started teaching a circuit strength class (whaaaaaat! God is so good)
-I’ve been trying my best to keep up with and stay involved in the campus ministry and community I live in. (The photo below features my pretty roommates)
-I’ve been working on the recruitment committee for the JB 5K Color the Campus run and we walked the course this past week and sampled the blue powder and wore glow sticks 🙂 (if any of you are interested in running it you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org it’s gonna be a majorrrrr party)
-I decided taking 18 credit hours my final semester of college was a good idea (no it’s not)
-I’ve been house/dog sitting out the wazoooooo (just call me the dog whisperer)
So sum that all up and you’ve got a girl consuming way too much coffee 🙂
Although I feel out of breath just thinking about all the deadlines, meetings, presentations, and projects coming up, I know I can count on Jesus to make even the busiest days seem peaceful. I’m thankful for the adventure He is taking me on this final semester. I’m thankful for the deadlines, meetings, presentations, and projects. I’m thankful I have a job to go to, classes to attend, and committees to be a part of. I’m thankful for the days I feel overwhelmed because it’s a reminder that I literally can’t do all of these things on my own; it’s a reminder of how much I need Jesus in my life. I’m never going to get these years of college back, so I’m going to cherish the sweet chaos of this final semester. I choose joy instead of frustration and hope in the midst of hopelessness (aka 11:58 pm when you’re paper is due at 11:59)
“I want a life that sizzles and pops and makes me laugh out loud. And I don’t want to get to the end, or to tomorrow, even, and realize that my life is a collection of meetings and pop cans and errands and receipts and dirty dishes. I want to eat cold tangerines and sing out loud in the car with the windows open and wear pink shoes and stay up all night laughing and paint my walls the exact color of the sky right now. I want to sleep hard on clean white sheets and throw parties and eat ripe tomatoes and read books so good they make me jump up and down, and I want my everyday to make God belly laugh, glad that he gave life to someone who loves the gift.” – Shauna Niequist
Stay tuned for the road trip extravaganza post!
