I just want to start by out saying how much I absolutely ADORE Sundays! Anyone else?! There is something just so refreshing about them. Rain or shine, they are always so beautiful and renewing. Plus it’s starting to warm up 🙂
These last couple weeks have been crazyyyyyyyy busy and filled with midterms galore; AKA every teacher giving you an excessive amount of papers and exams at the same time and then having them all due at the same time. BUT the Lord has been crazy awesome and has helped me get through them.
My roommate and I pass around a “Hot Mess Headquarters” sign as a joke and it was on my door A LOT last week.
Now I’m currently enjoying my spring break “staycation.” Let me tell yaaa, staying home was definitely not my first choice for my spring break, but it’s turning out to be one of my better ones. This week will definitely give me more time to spend with Jesus, family, and friends.
I have really been learning these last couple weeks that it is COMPLETELY and UTTERLY impossible to do this life on my own which I often try to do. Balancing my classes, my internship, my job, my social life, and my thoughts (yes I’m including this because Satan likes to exhaust me with them and I have to keep living and breathing Truth) gets so tough.
Getting your daily dose of Truth and spending time with Jesus is SO crucial to living a balanced life. I’m not saying it will help you live a perfect one, but man it will help you live well. I have my daily struggles and in order to keep them under control this is something I have to do or else my mind is so vulnerable. I know I have talked and will continue to talk a lot about health and fitness on this blog because I love them, but one huge aspect to living a healthy and fit life is to get your mind right. If your mind isn’t in the right place, then your health and fitness won’t be in the right place either.
What are you watching on tv? What are you reading? What are you listening to? Who are you hanging out with? All of these things are questions to ask yourself and consider. I am in NO way perfect and ask myself these things on the regular.
All of these are things to consider when working on your health and fitness too. Are you working out and eating healthy because your body is the Temple for the Holy Spirit? Is it to look a certain way? Is it enhancing your life or consuming your life? (Something I ask myself multiple times a day.)
I challenge you to ask yourself these questions and see if the Lord is guiding your health and fitness journey, or if you are.
Anyway, I just made a RAD running/workout playlist. I encourage you to check it out. It is completely clean and does nothing but feed you TRUTH. I am not even kidding when I say that. I just listened to it during my last workout and I think it’s safe to say I’ve outdone myself 🙂
